Hattiesburg Zoo shares update on baby hyena Tukio
The Hattiesburg Zoo is providing an update when it comes to their baby hyena.
Zoo vets say Tukio had his most recent weigh-in during August, weighing about 7 kilograms.
That’s almost four times his birth weight, staff saying he is growing and meeting all milestones right on track.
He’s even shown interest in stealing his mom’s food. Tukio is receiving all vaccines and will receive boosters until he is 16 weeks old.
Zoo keepers sharing Tokio is curious and interacting with other members of the hyena enclosure.
