Applications now open for Recovery to Work initiative
A new Mississippi program hopes to help people in recovery find a path back into the workforce.
The Recovery to Work Initiative is now accepting applications for a pilot program designed to connect people in recovery with job training, employers, and support services.
The program, funded through the Mississippi Opioid Settlement Fund, will invest about one million dollars in regional partnerships.
Selected organizations will help participants overcome barriers to employment, including access to training and credentials, transportation, child care, required tools and equipment, and housing costs.
Applications will be reviewed in the order they are received, with funding available until it is exhausted.
The deadline to apply is September 28.
