Warm and humid with better rain chances to end the week
Meteorologist Sam Lucey has a look at the forecast for south Mississippi
Wednesday will be mostly sunny and warm, with highs near 92°. A few showers or thunderstorms could pop up during the afternoon, but most locations should stay dry. Thursday brings a better chance for storms, with a 60% chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms.
Friday looks to be the wettest day, with a scattered to widespread showers and a few thunderstorms possible. Highs will still reach around 90°.
The weekend remains warm and somewhat unsettled. Saturday carries a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms, while Sunday and Labor Day bring additional afternoon storm chances. Highs will generally stay in the lower 90s.
