Public hearing for Gulfport budget set for Wednesday

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- Gulfport city leaders are expected to continue their budget discussion during a public hearing Wednesday.

Mayor Keating says this year’s budget is balanced and includes a two percent raise for all city employees, an additional two percent raise for firefighters, plus nearly a million dollars in parks and rec improvements.

The meeting is set to begin in the council chambers at 5:15.
