City of Moss Point hosting public hearing on budget, tax levies

MOSS POINT, Miss. (WXXV)- The City of Moss Point is hosting a public hearing on their proposed budget and proposed tax levies.

The hearing takes place on September 8 at city hall at 5:30 p.m.

The city wants to give residents a heads up that no increase is being proposed to the millage rate, that is unless your property’s value has changed.

There will not be an increase in ad valorem taxes on your home, car tag, utilities, business fixtures, or rental property.

Every citizen is invited to speak and offer input ahead of any votes.
