Picayune Police Department warns residents of scam

PICAYUNE, Miss. (WXXV)- The Picayune Police Department is warning against a scam going around.

Citizens are receiving calls about an active warrant. Police warning the scammers are giving valid officer names. Picayune police say they will never contact you to settle a warrant over the phone. The police also do not make threats of arrest if money is not paid.
