Long Beach Firefighters prevent apartment fire from spreading after Thursday morning blaze

LONG BEACH, Miss. (WXXV)- The Long Beach Fire Department is sharing the details on a Thursday morning fire at an apartment building.

Around 2 a.m., crews responded to reports of smoke from inside a building.

Those crews discovered smoke impacting four apartments. After investigating and using a thermal camera, firefighters identified a heat source behind a wall.

Crews opened the wall and located the fire, working to extinguish the embers. The work prevented the fire from spreading throughout the building and causing more issues.

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
