Mockingbird Café in Bay St. Louis remembers Dolly Parton

BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. (WXXV)- Mockingbird Café in Bay St. Louis is remembering the life and legacy of Dolly Parton.

The café gathers each year for their annual Dolly Should Festival, celebrating her birthday, music, and kindness.

Mockingbird says together, the community raised thousands of dollars for local charities and donated thousands of books in Dolly’s name.

The Mockingbird Café says Dolly reminded us that you don’t have to be rich to be generous or famous to make a difference, you just have to care.

The café says they are heartbroken to say goodbye, but so grateful for the music, stories, and kindness she gave the world.
