Man injured in Gulfport shooting

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV) — The Gulfport Police Department is searching for the suspect responsible for a shooting that left one man injured on Monday afternoon.

Police say the shooting took place at around 5:10 p.m. in the area of Loposser Avenue and Victory Street. One man was found on the seen suffering from a non-life threatening gun shot wound and taken to an area hospital.

Detectives are working to identify and locate a suspect responsible for the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Gulfport Police Department.
