Singing River Employees Still Waiting for Answers

Employees and retirees of Singing River Health System (S.R.H.S.) are still waiting for an answer to what changes will be made to their retirement plan.

Senior leadership met with the Jackson County Board of Supervisors Monday to keep the board updated and informed. Now it’s back to the drawing board, as Singing River leaders try to hash out the final details of how to adapt the retirement plan to fit the system’s current needs.

In a statement sent to News 25 Monday night, Singing River said of their meeting with the Board of Supervisors: “Members of our senior leadership and our Board of Trustees met with the Jackson County Board of Supervisors this morning to keep them fully informed and up to date as to where things are with our retirement plan. Potential litigation issues, as have been reported in the media, were also discussed. Singing River Health System is committed to working with the Board of Supervisors and keeping them informed."
