Governor Reeves appoints new state apprenticeship director

Governor Tate Reeves has named a new director for Mississippi’s apprenticeship program.

Dr. ‘Deano’ Harrison will take on the role.

Harrison previously worked with Accelerate MS and Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and helped launch the state’s first health care registered apprenticeship programs at Singing River Health System.

In his new role, Harrison will work to expand apprenticeship opportunities and strengthen partnerships with employers and educators.
