Good Bros Seafood hosts third annual clothing and shoe giveaway
MOSS POINT, Miss. (WXXV)- Over the weekend, Good Bros Seafood held its third annual clothing and shoe giveaway, providing free items for local families in need.
WXXV News 25’s Asia Ellis show us how the giveaway is making a difference for the Moss Point community.
Table after table was filled outside of Good Bros Seafood for its third annual clothing and shoe giveaway, with donated items free for men, women, and children. It was all made possible by the generosity of the Moss Point community. Moss Point resident Tammy Benjamin said, “These donations mean a lot to me because I don’t have no money to buy everything I want and I lost some clothes along the way and this helps. I’m grateful for the community, I’m surely is, and if I got anything they need and I got it they can get it.”
For many, these donations bring relief during hard times and shows just how powerful community support can be. Good Bros Seafood Owner Edward Good said, “There’s a need in the community, but I also understand that a lot of people in this community want to give to others. However, they just don’t have the avenue to do it. As you can see all this stuff out here, it didn’t come from Good Brothers. It came from the heart of the community of Moss Point. So, we’ll give them an opportunity to give, be generous to the community, and our community grabs a hold to it in a major way.”
Organizers say this year’s giveaway has grown, with more donations, volunteers, and support to make a real difference for local families in need.
