Nolan Wells parents speak at National Association of Black Journalists Convention in Atlanta

ATLANTA, GA (WXXV)- Nolan Wells’ parents have spent the morning talking about their son’s death investigation to reporters gathered for the National Association of Black Journalists Convention in Atlanta.

The day started with a panel discussion featuring Elmore and Christine Wells Wonsley as well as Attorney Ben Crump and Reverend Al Sharpton, as they all talked about the hours after Nolan’s disappearance on Horn Island and how they’ve handled the investigation since his body was found.

Their appearance at the NABJ comes after members of the Congressional Black Caucus this week urged the DOJ to conduct an independent review of the case and determine whether a separate federal investigation is warranted.

We’ll have more on today’s discussion later tonight here on WXXV News 25.
