Harrison County Sheriff’s Office warns residents of arrest warrant scam
HARRISON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office is drawing attention to the latest scam going around.
An arrest warrant is being sent, just with the wrong codes and statutes, including Alabama’s abbreviation for the warrant number and the warrant is from 2027.
The form sent by scammers also says it is being sent from Jefferson County and the check boxes are out of line.
The sheriff’s office is reminding everyone to take some extra time when reading items.
