Pearl River County School District participates in active shooter training
PEARL RIVER COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- The Pearl River County School District participated in the Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events course last week.
The program equips participants with strategies and a framework for increasing the chance of survival in case of an active shooter.
The school district thanks Campus Police Chief Brandon Herrin and Officer Whitten from the attorney general’s office for the training.
Both ensured the school district is doing everything possible to keep students and faculty safe in the event of a situation.
