Walter Anderson Museum of Art accepting applications for student art show

OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (WXXV)-The Walter Anderson Museum of Art is calling on young artists across the Coast to get creative.

The museum is now accepting original artwork and poetry from K through 12 students for its student art show.

This year’s theme is ‘Bravuras of Birds,’ and encourages students to explore birds as symbols of voice, freedom, movement, and imagination through visual art or poetry.

Students may submit up to two original works by November 1. Selected pieces will be displayed at the Ocean Springs Community Center from December 18 through January 3 with a reception and senior art award presentation on January 3.
