Child Shot During Altercation in Meridian

Meridian police are looking for a man involved in a domestic altercation that led to the shooting of a six-year-old child in a car seat. The shooting occurred around 11:40 this morning.
Meridian police say the toddler was in the car when she was hit in the head by a bullet while two men argued inside a home. Neither of the men are the victim’s father but one is her mother’s boyfriend.
Police are searching for Caradious Stinner who is believed to have fired the shot that hit the car and struck the child.
The victim was transported to a hospital in Jackson. Her condition is unknown.
