Community comes together for 22nd Annual Martini Shakedown benefiting Make-A-Wish Mississippi
BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)- The 22nd annual Martini Shakedown brought the community together at the Beau Rivage for an evening dedicated to making wishes come true.
Supporters of Make-A-Wish Mississippi gathered in the Magnolia Ballroom for an evening dedicated to granting wishes for children facing critical illnesses.
Guests enjoyed handcrafted martinis, gourmet cuisine, live music from Voodoo Gumbo, plus silent and live auctions and a raffle that helped raise money for the organization’s mission.
The event even concluded with a Wish reveal for young Seth and Ja’Nya, who were surprised with new four-wheelers.
While the night was filled with food, entertainment, and fellowship, every ticket purchased helped bring more life-changing wishes to children across Mississippi. Kristen Bonura is the mother of a Make-A-Wish child. She said, “Every single dollar that you give to help this foundation goes directly to these families. Our wish was so special and special to my son. I just can’t describe the magnitude of the way we were treated and the way we were received. Not only by the Make-a-Wish staff and volunteers, but also by the airline company and the staff at the places that we went. Make-a-Wish has a reputation and now I can say I know why. ”
Every ticket sold helps grant life-changing wishes to children across Mississippi.
