University of Southern Miss announces new director of media and communication

HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WXXV)- The University of Southern Mississippi announced a new director of media and communication.

Dr. Andrew Dunn is taking over the reins. He previously served in leadership roles at East Tennessee State University.

Dr. Dunn has also published works on media, fandom, and digital communication while continuing to advance research in the media landscape.

Before joining higher education, Dr. Dunn began his career as a newspaper reporter.
