Beau Rivage donates community grants to local organization
BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)- Beau Rivage Resort and Casino is investing in efforts to help those in need across the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
The resort awarded $25,000 in community grants to Catholic social and community services. The donation includes $10,000 to support case management services and $15,000 for the Mercy Cross Day Center, which provides assistance to individuals experiencing homelessness.
Leaders say the funding will help expand programs, strengthen resources for clients, and continue efforts to address homelessness throughout the region while building on the center’s positive impact for Gulf Coast individuals and families. Catholic Charities of South Mississippi Diocesan Director Jennifer Williams said, “Well Mercy Cross Center would not be here without the generosity of the community and the Beau Rivage, MGM Resorts Foundation. They are one part that makes this whole thing possible. The Beau Rivage is so generous to us even outside of today’s grant presentation. They offer us hygiene supplies and other things that we are able to share with the community through the center and we appreciate everyone’s support because we wouldn’t be here without caring people wanting to give back to their community.”
