Ocean Springs firefighters prepare for rail emergencies

OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (WXXV)- Ocean Springs firefighters are better prepared to respond to a railroad emergency after completing a three-day training program.

CSX Railroad brought instructors and specialized training props to help firefighters gain hands-on experience with rail equipment.

From hazardous material spills to train emergencies, firefighters work through realistic scenarios designed to prepare them for critical moments on railways.

Officials say the training builds confidence and equips firefighters to safely handle railroad emergencies.
