Mississippi Aquarium holding turtle release on Thursday

BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)- The Mississippi Aquarium is hosting a turtle release this Thursday.

Across the street from the Edgewater Mall, one Kemp’s Ridley sea turtle, Acadia, will be returning to the Gulf. The release is scheduled for 4 p.m.

The public is encouraged to come out to view the release.

An aquarium tent and van will be on site to share biofacts and to answer any questions about the species or conservation efforts.
