Pascagoula River Audubon Center temporarily closing while undergoing repairs

JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (XXV)- The Pascagoula River Audubon Center will be temporarily closing while the building undergoes repairs.

These are structural and cosmetic repairs.

Work might take up to 12 months until repair, but the center is not taking a break.  Staff will continue to connect people with nature through the community.

The center is sharing events still happening during those repairs including summer camps as well as a new River Heroes Academy in the fall.

The staff is also working behind the scenes on new exhibits for the ticket booth conservation project. That will bring together Moss Point’s history and the story of the Pascagoula River.

The center says they will continue to partner with local organizations to bring programs directly into the community.

You can head to their website to stay up to date with programs and events.
