MBI investigating officer-involved shooting in Jackson
Jackson, Miss. (WXX)- The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is sharing details of an officer-involved shooting that happened in Jackson.
A Capitol Police Officer was patrolling the area of Pearl and President Streets, a security guard reporting a person was carrying a weapon around businesses on State Street.
A brief foot chase began and the person shot at the officer. The officer shot back, hitting the suspect.
That suspect was brought to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and no officer received serious physical injury.
