Woman charged in sex crime case involving a dog in Gulfport

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)-Gulfport police have arrested a 29-year-old woman on child exploitation and sex crime charges involving a dog.

Twenty-nine-year-old Micheryl Thomas is charged with one count of unnatural intercourse and one count of possession of child pornography.

Police say Thomas contacted police Thursday morning after telling officers she wanted to confess to crimes involving her dog.

During the course of the investigation, detectives also searched Thomas’ cell phone and say they found evidence she had an online relationship with a juvenile girl.

Police say Thomas allegedly possessed and shared sexually explicit photos and videos of the girl with others.

Thomas is now being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center.
