Ben Crump, Rev. Al Sharpton join family seeking answers in Nolan Wells death

OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (WXXV) — The family of Ocean Springs teenager Nolan Xavier Wells will be joined by civil rights attorney Ben Crump and National Action Network founder Rev. Al Sharpton on Friday as they publicly call for a full and transparent investigation into the 18-year-old’s death.
According to a news release issued Thursday, the press conference will be held at 11 a.m. Central Time Friday at the National Action Network’s House of Justice headquarters in Harlem, New York.
The family, Crump and Sharpton say they are demanding a “full, transparent and urgent investigation” into Wells’ death, along with the timely release of investigative records and findings.
“Nolan’s family deserves answers about how their son was left behind on a remote island and never made it home,” the release states.
The family’s appearance with Crump and Sharpton will come just days after Crump announced he had been retained to represent Wells’ family as they seek answers surrounding the circumstances of the teenager’s death.
