Jackson County Sheriff’s Department searching for missing 18‑Year‑Old last seen on Horn Island
Jackson County, Miss (WXXV) – The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department is searching for a missing person, identified as Nolan Xavier Wells. Nolan is described as an 18‑year‑old Black male, approximately 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing around 180 pounds. He was last seen on Horn Island wearing blue swim trunks not black as previously reported, no shirt, and sunglasses.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department has reestablished a command post at the Lake Mars Boat Launch 1200 Lake Mars Avenue, in Ocean Springs as the search continues. Authorities are currently searching Horn Island with the assistance of the Department of Marine Resources, the Gulf Islands National Seashore, and the United States Coast Guard.
Investigators say they were recently provided with a photograph showing Nolan at Horn Island on Saturday.
The sheriff’s department is asking anyone who may have seen or spoken with Nolan while on Horn Island to come forward if they have not already contacted law enforcement.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department at 228-769-3063. Officials say any information may be the key to determining Nolan’s last known location.
