Gulfport Police Deputy Commander Paul Podlin retiring after 29 years
GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- The Gulfport Police Department is sharing that Deputy Commander Paul Podlin is retiring after 29 years.
He first joined the department on May 4, 1999, serving in a wide range of assignments.
He also helped lead specialized teams such as tactical training, SWAT entry, retention team and as a motor unit.
The Gulfport police say Podlin’s leadership was never measured by rank, it was reflected in the respect he earned.
The department says they wish him and his family years of health, happiness, and time together.
