Pass Christian fire crews respond to planter fire at local business

PASS CHRISTIAN, Miss. (WXXV)- The Pass Christian Fire Department responded to a business fire last.

A small planter fire was discovered on the deck of Whiskey Hotel.

Crews quickly knocked the fire out without any spread.

Even with the rain, crews want to remind everyone that this heat can dry things out fast. Mulch, decorative plants, and other harmless materials can turn into fuel quicker than expected.

Fire crews tell residents to keep planters and other landscaping watered. Dispose of smoking materials properly.

Keep combustibles away from heat sources and don’t ignore small smolders.
