Forrest County Sheriff’s Office mourns the loss of Investigator Andretta English
FORREST COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- The Forrest County Sheriff’s Office is mourning the loss of an investigator from over the weekend.
Investigator Andretta English passed away Sunday morning following a motorcycle accident on Saturday.
English joined the sheriff’s office on February 26, 2024, first serving as a patrol deputy.
The sheriff’s office says from her very first day, her passion for service was obvious.
A heartfelt thanks was extended to the medical staff who worked to help English. Thanks was also given to the Forrest General Hospital Police Department and the officers who stood beside her family and the agency during this time.
Everyone is asked to keep English’s family, friends, and the entire sheriff’s office in their prayers.
Governor Tate Reeves released a statement on the death of English. Governor Reeves said “Mississippi is praying for the family of Investigator English, also praying for Sheriff Sims and everyone at the Forrest County Sheriff’s Office and AAA Ambulance Service.”
He ends the statement by saying Investigator English dedicated her life to serving others and her unwavering commitment to her community will never be forgotten.
