Matt Luke introduced at Ole Miss

A new era of Ole Miss football starts today as Matt Luke was officially introduced as the program’s interim coach following last week’s surprise resignation by Hugh Freeze.
The Gulfport native will lead the Rebels in 2017 after most recently serving as the team’s co-offensive coordinator. A four year letter winner at Ole Miss in the 90s, Luke is in his tenth season overall as a coach in Oxford.
Luke’s ties to the Gulf Coast run deep and so do his ties to his alma mater. “Gulfport to Oxford to watch my brother Tom play, wearing the 17 jersey in the Grove, playing touch football. I can’t believe that I’ve spent 14 years of my life as a player or coach here. I can truly tell y’all today that this is my dream job.”
Luke played center at Ole Miss and suited up for the Gulfport Admirals in high school from 1991 to 1994.
