MDOT To Start Resurfacing Work On I-10 Road

If Interstate 10 is part of you daily commute you may want to plan ahead. This weekend the Mississippi Department Of Transportation is starting work on a new project resurfacing eight miles of I 10 in Harrison County the work on the road way will go from Shore Crest Road to Gallery Parkway. Some lane closures may cause delays during later phases of the eleven million dollar project. Drivers realize the work is a necessary evil. Maggie Batts, uses I-10 frequently, “I don’t like it, but it’s necessary. I hope they will do a lot of it at night. It’ll be nice not to have the pounding on the road because they’re using that new surface that absorbs water and throws it off to the side. So you know in the long run it’ll be worth it.” M-DOT plans to wrap up construction this November.
