Pass Christian Names New Superintendent

Pass Christian School District has a new leading lady. Earlier this week, Dr. Carla Evers was named Pass Christian School District’s new superintendent.
Dr. Evers is no stranger to education. She’s a 24 year veteran with time spent teaching, as well as being a principal. Most recently, she was the director of instructional programs for Gulfport schools.
The district’s new leader will be taking over one of the top performing school districts in the state which boasts Pass Christian High School, U.S. News and World Reports best high school in Mississippi.
Dr. Evers tells News 25 she plans to help continue the district’s success during her tenure. “We have a commitment to excellence. My primary goal is to maintain that commitment to excellence. I’ve had an opportunity to talk with the administrators and they’re passionate about that. That is the mission. That is what we do.”
Dr. Evers tells News 25 her goal over the next 90 to 100 days is to look, listen and learn to see how the school district’s system operates.
