State department of human services launching new app for SNAP clients
JACKSON, Miss. (WXXV)- The Mississippi Department of Human Services is rolling out a new tool aimed at helping SNAP recipients better protect their benefits.
Starting June 11, SNAP clients in Mississippi will be able to use the new ‘Connect EBT’ app to manage their accounts and access additional security features.
According to MDHS, EBT cards will automatically be set to block online and out-of-state purchases, helping reduce fraud and unauthorized transactions.
The new platform is designed to give clients more control over their accounts and improve protection against benefit theft.
