Pearl River Community College Softball trio named NFCA All-Americans!

Fresh off the program’s first-ever national championship, the accolades continue to roll in for the Pearl River Community College softball team.

The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) has recognized three Wildcats as All-Americans after their standout performances during Pearl River’s historic title-winning campaign.

Leading the way is ace pitcher Ana-Grace Garcia, who was named a First Team All-American. Garcia anchored the Wildcats’ pitching staff throughout the season, compiling an impressive 23 wins, 187 strikeouts, and a 2.14 ERA. Her dominant performances in the circle played a pivotal role in Pearl River’s championship run. Garcia will continue her softball career at McNeese State University.

At the plate, third baseman Shania Fondren earned Second Team All-American honors after a record-breaking season. Fondren rewrote the Pearl River record book, setting new school marks with 27 home runs and 78 RBIs. Her power bat was a key component of one of the nation’s most explosive offenses.

Joining Fondren on the Second Team is fellow infielder Jaycee Holifield. The freshman second baseman delivered a stellar debut season, batting .365 with 15 home runs, 58 RBIs, and 40 runs scored. Holifield consistently came through in clutch situations and established herself as one of the Wildcats’ most reliable offensive contributors.

With national recognition now accompanying a national title, Garcia, Fondren, and Holifield have added another chapter to an unforgettable season for Pearl River softball.
