One dead, one injured in crash on Highway 26 in Stone County
STONE COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- One person is dead and another injured in a crash in Stone County.
On Wednesday, June 3, Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a crash on Highway 26. According to authorities, a 2018 Chevrolet Colorado driven by 82-year-old Dean Rominger was traveling north on Old HWY 26 when it collided with a 2000 Peterbilt.
Rominger received fatal injuries from the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the Chevrolet, 30-year-old Dewayna Brown, was injured and transported to a local hospital.
The driver of the Peterbilt did not receive any injuries from the crash.
The crash remains under investigation by MHP.
