Moss Point police issue reminder on permitting process after unsanctioned car meet scheduled
MOSS POINT, Miss. (WXXV)- Moss Point police are reminding people about the city’s permitting policies after plans for an unsanctioned car meet is set to take place in the city.
That meet is set to take place Saturday.
Police Chief Dennis Stevenson says the city has not received an application through the normal event approval process.
In a letter posted to social media, Stevenson went on to say that anyone who wants to host an event in the city should reach out to police or parks and rec departments.
Police will be actively monitoring activity across the city over the next few days to ensure city laws and ordinances are enforced.
