Volunteers Needed Tomorrow at the Biloxi National Cemetery

While many of us will be spending the weekend traveling or just enjoying the time off, local veterans want to make sure coast residents don’t forget what Memorial Day is all about.
Memorial Day is a day dedicated to remembering those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. On Monday, there will be a ceremony at the Biloxi National Cemetery.
Organizers need your help tomorrow morning placing American flags at each grave site to honor the fallen. Crusaders for Veterans President Kevin Cuttill said, “It’s our way of saying you’re not forgotten. The sacrifices you made for the country, the freedoms that everybody enjoys every day, the minimal price is to take 20 minutes out of your day and go out there and place a flag.”
If you’re interested in helping out, you’re asked to bring a Phillips head screwdriver in order to pole holes in the ground and to meet at the cemetery by 8 a.m.
