George County man arrested, charged with child sexual battery following investigation

GEORGE COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- A George County man is behind bars after a child reported sexual abuse to their parents.

Dustin Merrill was taken into custody last Friday after an investigation that began on May 11, after those parents reported their child’s allegation of abuse to sheriff investigators.

He’s now charged with two counts of sexual battery involving a child.

This remains an active investigation.
