Naked Man Shot Dead After Altercation in Biloxi Neighborhood
BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)— Biloxi police are investigating a deadly incident that began with multiple 911 calls reporting a naked man in a residential area near Woolmarket Lake Road.
According to the Biloxi Police Department, dispatchers received a 911 call around 8:00 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2026, from a homeowner in the 11000 block of Woolmarket Lake Road. The caller told police they were not home but observed, through a Ring doorbell camera, a naked white male emerge from the Biloxi River, walk up the stairs of the residence, and enter the porch area. Dispatchers also received several other calls from the area reporting a naked man.
Police say the homeowner contacted a next‑door neighbor and asked them to check on the residence. When the neighbor went to the home and made contact with the individual on the porch, the neighbor asked if the man needed help. At that point, the individual allegedly charged the neighbor and struck him.
During the confrontation, the neighbor fired multiple shots, striking the individual. Despite being shot, police say the man continued to attack and was able to disarm the neighbor before walking away from the home and returning to the water.
Emergency responders initially had difficulty reaching the area due to heavy flooding. Officers were ultimately transported by boat. Upon arrival, officers located the neighbor, who was treated for facial lacerations and bruising. Investigators also reviewed video from the home’s security system, which recorded the incident.
A search of the area was conducted using rescue boats. The body of the individual was later found on shore in the general area of the incident around 2:00 a.m. Sunday, May 24, 2026.
The investigation remains ongoing.
