Southern Miss Gulf Blue Navigator Demo Day showcases innovation and technology

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV) — Start-up businesses gathered at Lynn Meadows Discovery Center in Gulfport on Wednesday evening for Gulf Blue Navigator Demo Day, a chance for the companies to showcase their work investing in the Gulf Coast’s Blue Economy.

Six start-up companies participating in the Southern Miss Blue Navigator Program brought innovation and technology to the forefront, vying for funding while showcasing solutions aimed at strengthening and growing the Coast’s Blue Economy.

From sustainability to cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence, attendees had the opportunity to explore how these technologies can strengthen the coast’s resilience while continuing to drive innovation and progress.

One company we spoke with is working to grow our oyster reefs.

Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves was also in attendance, showing his support for the Gulf Blue Navigator Program.
