Gulfport lands on Fishing Booker’s 2026 list of top Red Snapper destinations in the Gulf
GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- Gulfport has been named one of the top eight red snapper fishing destinations in the Gulf for 2026.
That’s according to Fishing Booker, a platform for booking fishing trips.
The site evaluated destinations based on bite rates and local accessibility.
Other locations that made the top eight include Dauphin Island, Alabama and Grand Isle, Louisiana.
This ranking comes right on time as Mississippi’s red snapper season opens on Friday, May 22 at 12:01 a.m. for private recreational anglers and state for hire vessels.
