Woodside Wildlife Rescue in Pass Christian earns federal permit to expand bird rehabilitation

PASS CHRISTIAN, Miss. (WXXV)- Woodside Wildlife Rescue in Pass Christian has reached a major milestone after receiving its federal wildlife rehabilitation permit.

This allows the organization to expand its rescue and rehab efforts across the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

The permit gives the rescue authorization to care for and rehabilitate migratory birds at an unlimited capacity.

To meet federal requirements, the team constructed larger enclosures designed to properly house a variety of bird species.

Woodside Wildlife Rescue is now pursuing additional authorization to provide unlimited care for hawks, other large birds, and eagles, which would further strengthen its abilities to help injured wildlife.
