Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame Announces 2026 Ferriss Trophy Finalists

JACKSON, Miss. – The Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame & Museum has officially revealed the five finalists for the 2026 Ferriss Trophy, awarded each year to the most outstanding college baseball player in the state.

Leading the way are two standouts from Mississippi State University, Ace Reese and Tomas Valincius who have both played key roles in the Bulldogs’ success this season.

From the University of Mississippi, Cade Townsend and Judd Utermark earned finalist honors following impressive campaigns that helped power the Rebels on the diamond.

Rounding out the list is Grayden Harris from the University of Southern Mississippi, representing the Golden Eagles after a standout season of his own.

The winner of the 2026 Ferriss Trophy will be announced during the Ferriss Trophy Presentation Luncheon on Monday, May 18, held at the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame & Museum in Jackson.
