Blake Burke named Brewers Minor League Player of the Month for April
The honor marks the second monthly award of Burke’s career and his first since August 2025, when he earned Southern League Player of the Month honors. His dominant April performance made him one of the most productive hitters across Minor League Baseball.
Burke tied for the Southern League lead with eight home runs during the month, a total that also ranks tied for the fifth-most home runs in a single month in franchise history. He was a force at the plate in multiple categories, leading the league with 17 extra-base hits, eight doubles, and 58 total bases.
In addition, Burke ranked among the league’s top hitters in RBIs, slugging percentage, OPS, runs scored, hits, and even stolen bases showcasing his all-around offensive impact.
Consistency was another key part of Burke’s success. He reached base safely in all 24 games he appeared in during April and recorded hits in 17 of those contests.
Burke also etched his name into team history with the Biloxi Shuckers. On April 30 in Pensacola, he became the fastest player in Shuckers history to reach 20 RBIs in a season, accomplishing the feat in fewer than 28 games. He surpassed the previous mark shared by Brett Phillips (2016) and Joey Wiemer (2022).
