Leading the way on the boys side was Sammie King, who dominated the throwing events. King claimed first place in both discus and shot put, setting new Class 4A state records in each event an impressive feat that helped power the boys team to a second-place overall finish.

In the jumps, Paris Trivillion soared to a first-place finish in the boys triple jump, while teammate Sheldon Stapleton added to the scoring with a third-place finish. In the high jump, Ellic Laneaux secured another gold medal with a first-place finish, followed closely by Hardy Belt, who took second. On the track, Ryland Shoulders added to the Pirates’ success with a second-place finish in the boys 100-meter dash.

The girls team matched that momentum with several strong performances of their own. In the discus, T’Shailah Thomas earned a second-place finish, while Madison Jacobs followed suit with a runner-up performance in the triple jump.

Pass Christian’s relay teams proved to be among the best in the state. The quartet of Megan, Harmony, Zaria, and Hailey raced to a first-place finish in the girls 4×200-meter relay. The same group along with Saniyah also placed second in the 4×100-meter relay.

Individually on the track, Harmony Walker finished third in the 100-meter dash, Hailey LeBeau earned second in the 400-meter dash, and Khloee Vinsonhaler secured a third-place finish in the 300-meter hurdles.
