Celebrating our Coast student athletes at WXXV 2026 Student Athlete Banquet

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- One of WXXV’s biggest events of the year wrapped up at the Great Southern Club in Gulfport Wednesday night.

This year’s athletes featured in Sports Director Ansley Brent’s weekly Student Athlete of the Week series were recognized in our annual Student Athlete Banquet.

Each athlete was joined by family and coaches and received plaques and a video tribute.

The keynote speaker was Barry Lyons, Shuckers ambassador and former Major League Baseball player.

All of us here at WXXV are proud of these tremendous students. We look forward to highlighting more local athletes in the months and years to come.
