Coast Electric scheduling maintenance in several areas in Biloxi

GULF COAST, Miss. (WXXV) — Residents in several South Mississippi neighborhoods should prepare for a temporary power outage Thursday morning as Coast Electric conducts scheduled maintenance.

On Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 8 a.m. until noon, Coast Electric crews will be making changes to electrical facilities serving multiple areas. The work will require crews to de-energize power lines, resulting in a temporary interruption of service for customers.

The affected areas include Plantation Isle Boulevard, Destiny Plantation Boulevard, Hengen Lane, Brodie Road, Lucius Street, Bay Breeze Drive, Darius Drive, Reunion Place Circle, Jubilee Lane, and Quintin Court.

Residents are advised that the schedule could change if unsafe weather conditions arise. In that case, the work will be postponed until the next clear working day.
