Jackson County fire crews take part in training

JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- The Jackson County Fire Protection Team is sharing a few firefighters have been conducting air truck training the last few weeks.

They are learning and refreshing themselves with operating the breathing air compressor and other systems.

C-Shift took part in the training Monday.

Fire officials say while the air truck is not a primary response tool, it provides support to ground operations. It does this by allowing air cylinders to be refilled on scene and provide additional lighting.
