HAPPENING MONDAY: Road closure for drainage project begins in Pascagoula
PASCAGOULA, Miss. (WXXV)–Drivers in Pascagoula should plan for temporary road closures starting Monday as the city begins work on a drainage improvement project.
City officials say the intersection of Parsley Street and Williams Street will be closed beginning Monday at 8 a.m. as contractors begin work on the Buena Vista and Williams North Drainage Improvements Project.
The closure is expected to remain in place through the end of the business on Wednesday, May 6.
The project focuses on upgrading aging drainage infrastructure in the Buena Vista and Williams Street area—specifically north of Parsley Street and south of Ingalls Avenue. Officials say the improvements are designed to enhance drainage performance and reduce issues for nearby residents.
Once construction is complete, the roadway at the intersection will be replaced.
Drivers are urged to use caution in the area and plan alternate routes while the work is underway.
